Casa San Francesco is more than a beautiful historic home; it’s a place shaped with love and restored with care. Purchased over 25 years ago by Ivan, our beloved culinary manager, the home was thoughtfully renovated by Ivan himself, together with skilled Cortona artisans and tradesmen. Their craftsmanship shines through in every detail.
Enter from the quiet street into a welcoming living room featuring a cozy, functional fireplace, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Cortona. On this level, you’ll also find a full bathroom and laundry facilities. A staircase leads to the second floor, where a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area make gathering easy and joyful. This level also includes the first queen bedroom. The third floor offers a second queen bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds, and an additional full bathroom, comfortably accommodating families or small groups.
As an exceptional chef, Ivan offers in-home cooking classes that many guests say are the best Tuscan meals they’ve ever tasted. We highly recommend booking a class during your stay, it's a highlight of the experience and a delicious way to learn the flavors of the region.
Please note: Cortona is an ancient, walled hill town with many stairs, steep streets, and limited driving/parking with no elevators or handicap accommodations. Please be advised of this if you have mobility issues of any sort.
